Broadway Bistro - Providence

I'm very sad to bid farewell to this dependable and wonderful restaurant.

Every week, we make the trip from Long Island to Plymouth, and when we're in Providence in the evening, we almost always stop by Broadway Bistro for a meal. It's a fantastic neighborhood restaurant that offers excellent food, inventive cocktails, and an impressive wine selection. After more than a dozen visits, we've never encountered a disappointing dish, from the bread to the final truffle. We are truly saddened to hear it's closing, but we've really appreciated our time there.

What a fantastic restaurant on Broadway that surprisingly manages to stay under the radar! Broadway Bistro serves up the flavors and presentation of fine dining, all within a relaxed atmosphere, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The service was exemplary; the bartender was attentive and clearly skilled. During my visit, I had the pea green salad and the ribs with grits, both of which were outstanding. The pea green salad might be the best winter salad I've ever had, with the pickled apple adding a lovely tartness that perfectly complements the goat cheese and toasted almonds. The ribs and grits were not only delicious but also a great value. It seemed like everyone around me ordered the same dish, and it’s easy to see why. I'm really glad I decided to stop by and I can’t wait to return to explore more of their menu!

Anything you get here is FIRE! Must try Ribs and Grits. Must try the Blue Fish-do NOT knock it until you try it here!

Editing my review from 7 years ago: I have loved this place. They have a smaller and changing menu but they can manage to make anything good. Sometimes I think I don’t like a dish and they change my mind. I had never had good grits until I came here. Great bread. Best vegetable Ramen I've ever had. Fast service. Good music. I will be sad to see them go. They were such a fantastic spot.
