Great food in an amazing setting. Very attentive and friendly service. Unfortunately we life to far away, otherwise this would become a favorite go-to place.
This should have been four stars but our wonderful waitress added the extra star...my salmon, cooked perfectly I might add, was a little bland and somewhat thrown together. Over the years of dining at Fuller's, I've come to expect perfection and it has been... possibly I'm spoiled and possibly there's a new chef. I suspect the latter... everyone else in my family enjoyed their meal and the creative appetizers were a hit. And did I say our waitress, handling the entire room by herself, was great ! We'll be back and I'll try another antrée.
Monday Mussel special. If you love Mussels this is a must for your list.
We found this place unexpectedly while driving through downtown Providence and decided on a whim to try something different. So glad we did. Great meal from start to finish. Love the ambiance here. The interior of the restaurant is really beautiful and artsy. Everything from the painted wall murals to moldings, and fixtures looked gorgeous. It was nice to be greeted by warm lit fireplace in the center of the room, especially when it 's 30 degrees freezing outside. We actually sat several feet from the side of it, so it was really toasty and cozy. Plus the dim lighting gives the space an intimate element. Dinner menu is very simple yet favorable to our palette. We started off with moules frites which is fries topped with mussels in white wine cream sauce. OMG this was so good, especially the sauce. We practically shoveled the fries into our mouth. Portions were plentiful for sharing. For mains, we got steak frites and grilled salmon. Both were fantastic and perfectly prepared. The salmon was crisp on outside and and nicely rare on inside. Enjoyed the roasted vegetables that accompanied it. Everyone was unsure about dessert, but I went ahead and ordered it anyways because that 's how I roll...hahaha!. Got beignets and as soon as beignets landed on our table, the mood quickly change to oohs and ahhs! The resistance simply acknowlege Good choice Leo! It was lightly dense and soft inside, so divine. And that berry sauce was a match made in heaven. Service was good. Wait staff was sufficient, no complaints, and our food arrived at reasonable time. All in all, A perfect evening and a must try for a night to remember in downtown Providence.
