This restaurant is just great. The service was very friendly, quick and attentive. The food was delicious and very well warm. The fish soup as a starter is highly recommended. The meat was also on point and very tasty. We can 100% recommend this restaurant???
The Squealing Pig is the kinda place that makes you feel like you're part of the neighborhood. I'll warn you, it's tight inside. The dining room is narrow but the vibe is so friendly, you don't mind. The bar is long and fantastic, and the drinks are strong. Gear up! My Old Fashioned about knocked me over. I generally order the wings, but have enjoyed the chili on occasion as well as various sandwiches. In my opinion, the star of the restaurant are the TUSCAN FRIES. Definitely splurge on the upgrade. Tip: Getting to lunch or dinner before noon or six and it's not hard to snag a table. After that, there's often a wait.
Stopped in on a Tuesday evening for a first visit. A really cool place. Cozy with plenty of table seating and a good size bar. A local hangout feel with friendly bartenders and servers. Huge sandwiches and some creative choices. Fresh oysters were on hand if you like them. Apparently that's their thing. Nice pour for cocktails and you can enjoy a few while watching a game on the big screen TV. Ordered their tasty fries and I barely make a dent in the portion provided. Parking is easier weeknights by be prepared to circle around a number of times or make it easier and just use the pay lots then walk a block. Highly recommend this spot.
This is a place that might be overlooked by visitors because it looks like a local dive. It is and that is its appeal. It has great food, good service, and reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, food rivals the quality of the other high-end places to eat, and it is located in the heart of the town. It was packed when I last visited, so was loud and difficult to walk to-and-from my table, but was still quite cozy and comfortable. I got the seafood chowder. It is well-worth a visit. Delicious! ?
