Lucca Osteria - Proviso Township

Went here for the second time. Had the fettuccine and it was excellent. Place can get a bit packed on Saturday night so keep that in mind. Our server was great, very attentive, but not overly attentive.

Overall disappointing experience. My food was lukewarm, service was extremely slow, drink was mediocre, we had a drink spilled on us and no offer to comp part of our meal or some other gesture. Would not recommend or go back. PS- Emailed John F as requested in his reply but have yet to hear from him… PPS- After exchanging a few emails, John did offer a $50 credit on our next visit. Even with this however, we may not be going back.

We went to our New Year dinner and the atmosphere was so nice and warm and the food was so delicious. I love the oysters from West.

Excellent food but despicable service! Had an 8:15 reservation but wasn’t seated until almost 9:00 PM. Our waiter Luis P completely ignored us so he could serve 2 larger tables. Took almost a half hour to get our order in. Wasn’t offered a dessert menu. Great food but absolutely horrible service.

Food was tasty service and was terrible waiter was rude waited 30 min for our glasses of whine then she came back with 1 and asked me if I wanted anything to drink after I had gave her the whine I wanted already.she also had a manager come over after she didnt communicate with me and my partner about identification.such a bad place to celebrate something special!
