Gives a good feeling for those who want to dive and enjoy a meal. And as far as food is concerned... Freaking amazing. I ordered the pig dog and one side of chips and salsa. The Burrito was beautiful in his composition. I could say the ingredients were freshly cut and prepared individually. I could really say... such an ivory and fulfilling burrito. The chips were even made to order. Blue corn gown with what seemed to be homemade salsa with a hint of mango or something in it. Just a great meal all around, which is a great break from the cookie cutter, chain-driven food culture, which seems to be the norm here in Utah. This place was a breath of fresh air.
This place is like Taco Shangri-La; when he was in Provo for the first time, he had no sign. If you were lucky to find it: Paradise. Once we drove from Southern California and went straight to Blue Poblano, because it was better than anything we found down there. Then it suddenly disappeared just to bump into Sugarhouse. Bleu and her brother Mark are culinary geniuses (they started Black Sheep Cafe) and now you can get your fix back in Provo. The new location is where Mtn West Burrito was and is cozy, but has parking and an appropriate number of interior seats. The taste will take you back to the days at the Center St: al Pastor and Carnitas Tacos on homemade mastortillas. Fresh concoctions of salsa and Guac. Yes, they cost twice as much as normal roads tacos (and I enjoy a good street taco), but these are so much better. Plus, two is about the right thing for a meal, especially if you have any extras to go with it. I'm trying not to post this because I don't want it to be crazy and hard to reach, but I don't want it to disappear again... so there you go. Get it.
The corn chips are hearty and blue. They cook them after you order them, so they are as fresh as possible. The salsa and guacamole are great, but unlike what I had in this area. Every taco I tried was great. As from Texas, I love Mexican food and really liked this place. The service was also good.
Wow. I am very impressed by Blue Poblano. My husband and I were in Provo and saw a new restaurant, so we had to take a look. The window deeds fired Tacos Churros and I was sold immediately. We ordered some tacos, Chile cheese fries churros, got our drinks and sat in the sweet little dining area. When our food came to our table, my mouth started pouring. The presentation of the food alone was excellent. We started eating and Smirks came across our faces. The food was incredibly delicious and the ingredients were very high quality and the flavors were unique and new. This place doesn't taste like everything I ever had in Utah. Blue Poblano holds a similar taste profile to some of my favorite high-caliber restaurants in Las Vegas. Yeah, so good. I have seen a lot of people complaining about the price; that's not a taco truck. If you want $1,00 Tacos, visit a streetcar or go to Taco Bell. Update: My husband and I went back today (yes; two days in a row and had another great experience. 5 stars forever. We love Blue Poblano.
Tacos are good, but very expensive compared to Don Joaquins down the road. Fries and are wonderful. Fresh churros exceptional, best in my life. Will go just for those.
