Hokulia Shave Ice - Provo

Without a doubt, this is the best shave ice I've ever had. They offer a wide variety of delicious flavors, along with plenty of choices for ice cream and sno cap. However, the wait time was a bit excessive, even though there were only six people in line ahead of me when I arrived.

The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and offers quick service! The shaved ice is incredibly soft and smooth, without any crunchiness. It simply melts in your mouth, and they have an extensive selection of flavors to choose from.

Utah is home to numerous little snow cone shops, but few offer the authentic shaved ice experience I fell in love with in Hawaii. HOKULIA SHAVE ICE delivers exactly that. They shave ice directly from a block using a sharp blade, resulting in a texture that's coarser and more substantial than the fluffy snow you find elsewhere. With 50 flavors to choose from, the combinations are endless. I went for the smaller cup, and it was surprisingly generous in size. It’s a delicious way to indulge – just be prepared for a brain freeze! I savored every bite and highly recommend it without hesitation.

It was such a delicious treat, with great flavors. The ice cream was so very good! It really is like what Shave Ice, made in Hawaii, is made. The portion is worth what you pay, you won?t be disappointed. So yummy! I highly recommend this treat!

I’ve never been a big fan of shave ice, but Hokulia completely changed my mind—I'm already eager to return! I tried the strawberry colada flavor with mango ice cream, and it was incredibly delicious. It’s the perfect summer treat! The portions are huge, and there’s plenty of seating available. I’d rate it 10/10!
