Pivnoy Dom - Pskov

Came once two years ago here, and back now for the great food, fantastic service and perfect location! highly recommended, hopefully it will not be 2 years until I am back!

An excellent place with a lot of Russian craft beer. eating is either delicious, but the whole menu is certainly designed only for beer lovers. that is definitely not a contrast for me, but be sure they are not against a pint or two here.

The atmosphere is pleasant and decent. I didn’t try the drinks. The prices are average and quite reasonable. The sausages are tasty, although I usually find them to be better in chain pubs. The service is good; the staff is very friendly and can help with any questions. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly due to my personal taste preferences, as I've encountered better cuisine elsewhere, but overall it’s quite good.

It's a shame that a place with such a beautiful location never has its terrace open, even though it is quite decent. Sitting inside is less interesting. The service was satisfactory. I was disappointed with the cheese platter. The portion size seemed fine according to the menu, but in reality, 60% of the plate was taken up by apples and an overly sweet sauce, with the cheese being of very low quality. Overall, the food is quite rich and heavy. Yes, this is a common issue at a beer restaurant, but it can be difficult for those with specific dietary needs. I'm grateful they allowed us to bring our own freshly squeezed juice. Additionally, the lard served with the borscht was very tender and delicious! We did not try the beer.
