Surabi – Anandha Inn - Puducherry

First meal in Pondi.. First of many meals to follow.. Always a happy place for breakfast.. Though they could have done a bit better with their eggs part.. But i guess they made that up with their buffet spread.. A hearty way of beginning the day.. And not to say, the countless meals throughout the day, fkr we three are forever hungry trip-y travellers

Decent setting, no fuss food. Well prepared and served. Ordered chilly fish, tandoori chicken and chicken clear soup. Taste was good and worth the price. Just that it lacks the extra frills, hence the rating.

While Anandha Inn as a Hotel was great with nice rooms and courteous staff, the Surabhi restaurant where we were offered complimentary breakfast was bad. This was probably the worst breakfast buffet I ve had ever. The food was bland, refilling was slow and service was just rude. I wouldn't recommend it just because it's complimentary. Needs a lot of improvement.

If you are in for a late night dinner/snack and want to have south indian veg food. This is the best place in town as they are open till 2 AM. The taste is good overall no complaints whatsoever. The ambience and service is good. On the downside the restaurant really needs a makeover at least on the table cloth which has slogged way more than its limit :). The pricing is also right.
