Carlos V - Puebla de Sanabria

The staff is really nice, you really feel at ease the whole time. Uncomplicated kitchen with a modern touch and very reasonable prices. You can also taste some regional specialties. The desserts are great.

A good choice for a nice meal. Although the place is not big it's very friendly and cosy. The service was a bit slow as there was only one waiter for the 10/12 tables. But it was worth the waiting as food was very well cooked and served in big portions. prices were also very fair to the place and food quantity and quality. I shall return when I'm back in Puebla de Sanabria.

We happened to pass by after dinner and it was so inviting that we entered to have a drink and ended having a dessert. We returned the following day to try more dishes. We loved the local dishes such as the Sopa de Sanabria and the Habones (giant white beans) both fantastic traditional cuisine. The homemade desserts from family recipes are great too! Try the Puff Pastry with cream and the baked custard with raspberries, simply delicious. There is a great variety of beers both local and Belgian. A sure bet in all ways.
