Great food, great service, beautiful restaurant. This is undoubtedly one of the better - perhaps best - places to eat in Puerto Iguazú. The price is also very reasonable.
We had dinner in this restaurant and the food was very delicious. We had a young male waitress who was very friendly. When we wanted to pay, we were told that they only accept cash, so we had to withdraw money which was not around...the corner. When we came back we realized they were just about to get someone as they thought we were not coming back. Also, the ladies at the restaurant reception were not very friendly to us. A bitter aftertaste to a very tasty meal!
As a veggie its not easy always to find great food but that wasn’t a problem here! Amazing fresh pastas! I had stuffed ravioli, delicious. I’m craving really good salad and was bit disappointed about basically a bowl of lettuce when it sounded more varied...on the menu! Good wine. Sadly not a genuine Italian welcome though. The waiters seemed bored and as though they were doing you a favour. Not one cracked a smile. I have a bit of Spanish so do try but that’s not a barrier to being welcoming. Sadly wouldn’t go back because of that.
Ate dinner here with my wife. Despite what Tripadvisor says, prices are top end, particularly given the dire state of the peso at the moment I would not have paid much more in London. I really enjoyed the food. I ate ravioli and it really...was yummy fresh pasta. I see some other reviewers are critical of the set piece pasta flamed in a cheese. We didn't try this it seemed it was priced for the spectacle as much as for the ingredients. My wife ordered a seafood pasta and was assured it contained no mussels (she has an allergy). It arrived with enormous mussels in it! They changed it soon enough for another dish which she said was nice. This brings me on to my point that the restaurant needs to try harder. If it wants to price itself at the top end, it needs to deliver top end service. It has an idiosyncratic insistence on only accepting reservations by whatsapp and in our case, only at 7pm. Well that's the manager's prerogative. But if guests then turn up at 6.50 to be told that they can't go in yet, that they can sit in the hotel bar but there is no one able to serve them even with a drink until 7 (with the implication that the person telling them this is either unwilling or incapable of doing this himself), that's not great service. The TV playing cookery programmes I found a bit odd, but at least they didn't have the football on. The piped music (jazz versions of Beatles songs) was not unpleasant but grated when the tape went round for the 3rd time. attention to detail is all that's required I think.
