Blake's Restaurant - Puerto Vallarta

Blake 's used to located between the hotels and las glorias. That Blake 's was a laid back joint with great food and reasonable beer/drink prices. Also a solid place to catch a hockey game or a live band. This Blake 's is a cruise ship terminal bar as I would imagine, cruise ship bars are all over the world. $72 pesos for mexican beer, $90 pesos for Mich Ultra. I learned that you can get a loyalty card and save 50% on the mexican beer and 20% on food (which puts it in the range of most PV tourist spots). But when I asked the hostess I received disgruntled body language and was asked are you a local or are you on the cruise ship So the definitely profiteer from the cruise ship visitors. The waitress finally gave me one but was told the 50% off did not apply to the Mich Ultra--so $5USD for that baby. The venue is well built for live music with an outside stage right off the main bar. And, the view is wonderful unless a giant cruise ship is parked right outside. The meat loaf was excellent and they BBQ from scratch which is a plus. The waitress was pleasant as well. I just wish they renamed the place to something like Tiki Paradise or Coconut Cove or something touristy because that is what this is. I really wanted to low ball them with a review of one but the waitress and good food gives them a three. May come back, I do have a loyalty card after all LOL!

We previously visited Blake's a couple of years ago. We visited again in their new location at Port Magical. They have a lot more room and the food was great! We also enjoyed live music and had a beautiful view!

Overpriced with bad service, the food was uninspired, cold, and flat. The waitress couldn’t be bothered so we had to track her down to pay. $100 USD for a bottle of Modelo, one appetizer (calamari) that had been sent back, and a fish dinner of unknown origin.

Absolutely the Worst Place I have been in PV. Service was OK, The Management on the other hand was Deplorable. the overall experience was not what I would have accepted. Very Poor and Expensive

The four of us really enjoyed our afternoon. We had great service by our waiter Marco. The bad was fantastic and the food and drinks were also very good. The view of the ships is something you do not see at home. We enjoyed the afternoon and will be back.
