A si fue que volví el día siguiente a comer. Y si van a pedir algo les recomiendo que pidan "taco de chicharrón de queso".
Great service but three out of four meals mediocre. Fish fillet served cold, tuna which seemed frozen cooked well done instead of seared, and another fish with shrimp served cold. As a positive meal the fillet mignon although over cooked melted like butter. Great atmosphere...and usually amazing but perhaps a night off.
YES, the margarita was great, but so was the dinner. I had the rolled chicken very tasty. My husband's shrimp cooked in foil was also excellent. We will be taking friends there soon.
This tortilla soup was amazing. Very flavourful. The shrimp chowder is also worth the walk across town to enjoy. Prices are very fair and the service is excellent.
At first glance, this restaurant looks like a typical neighborhood restaurant with good food, but as I dove a bit deeper into the menu I found a treasure trove of spectacular dishes. I have dined here twice so I would consider the items I am...mentioning as standouts can be followed could easily be a small portion of the culinary finds on the menu. The Tuna Novoa is an outstanding version of Tuna Carpaccio, very fresh thinly sliced Tuna topped with a mixture of capers, olive oil, basil, and olives served with perfectly crispy toasted bread rounds. This dish was priced at a unbelievably reasonable cost of peso or slightly under USD. The x x oyster dish is a wonderful combination of their version of oysters Rockefeller, oysters Díabla, oysters with garlic butter. There are four of each type. They are cooked perfectly, barely warm and not overcooked like in many restaurants. Moving on into entrees, on my two visits we sampled the Isabella, delicate white fish stuffed with spinach and cheese and topped with a shrimp sauce with tomato. The second entree we had was the Santa Cruz. This was quite a unique and special dish which was essentially fish that was layered with crab and cheese. It resembles in appearance, lasagna because it has three layers. It’s a gorgeous and wonderful tasting dish unlike anything I’ve had in other restaurants. They have a full bar as well as nice wines by the glass. I did not check out their wine list. The service is friendly and professional and the staff is very knowledgeable about the dishes and eager to explain the preparation’s in detail if you ask. Wonderful experience!
