El Rio BBQ-Bar - Puerto Vallarta

What a fantastic hidden gem restaurant, makes you feel like you're on vacation while on vacation! The food is absolutely delicious with a huge variety and of course the very best BBQ. The staff is so attentive and friendly and Hollis makes you feel like you're at home having a backyard party. The live music, the beautiful river and the whole patio set up is a setting that turns a normal day into a fiesta.

Best damn ribs I have ever had on either side of Trump's wall! Smoked chicken is also very tasty. As a bonus, this place is located in a quaint mountain location bordered by a inviting river and a tall cliff wall. Live music is the cherry on top! If you are a ribs or BBQ fan visiting PV, you MUST visit this place!

Spent a great day with 12 friends here on Tuesday January 30, 2018...everything about this place is fantastic! The ribs are to die for and the jalapeno poppers were amazing! So good that we are coming back next week with a different group of friends!! Well done!!

I like to go here at least once on every trip.(3x per year). Service is superb, food is wonderful. Wish they would mix up their music groups a bit. Hint, hint…..try Monaco! They woyld suit this venue to a T!!

Our 4th time at El Rio and won’t be the last. Rock Wednesday is our fav. Ribs are amazing. But big. I can only eat one. My husband loves the jalapeño poppers. Make a reservation online bc the place is always packed. See ya next year.
