Kensao - Puerto Vallarta

I love their food. Service and atmosphere is reasonable but their food is great. The restrooms are upstairs so if you are have a problem with stairs or a bladder problem think twice. Also, for anyone new to Mexican sushi you probably won't be too surprised to see jalipiño on your roll/menu. They also add cream cheese to many of the dishes. It's just not what I'm looking for but there is much more to choose from.

In 2 visits I have had excellent food with good service. My friends and I shared several plates on both occasions. Enjoyed the spicy tuna and stuffed squid the most. I recommend it.

We went here for lunch yesterday. My sister had been four times and each experience was excellent. Sadly, we had a terrible lunch and the reason is our server. He was preoccupied with a large group and seemed to forget that we were there. We sat waiting for our order while other diners, who arrived after us, enjoyed their meals in a timely fashion. We finally (45 minutes later) flagged down another server who brought two of the rolls we had ordered. They had been sitting on the counter waiting to be delivered. Another fifteen minutes later, we were able to make eye contact with our server who then brought our order of tempura. It was cold. Inedible. We sent it back and his only comment was “okay”. No apology for forgetting about us, no attempt to make things right. We left without tipping and he glared at us. So sad that we had such an awful experience at a restaurant that serves great food.

This place has very good sushi I would only rate 2 other sushi restaurants in the area that compare and both are much more expensive. I do not really like eating in a mall but the service was great and the tomatoe roll was fresh and fantastic. Everyone I was with enjoyed there meals we all had sushi except one friend got the tempura He said that was very good as well.
