Los Caracoles - Puerto Vallarta

Within walking distance, an authentic restaurant with excellent service and wonderful food at reasonable prices. The marinated flank steak was worth the visit in itself!

We are Canadians now residing in Las Glorias, Los Caracoles is just a few blocks walk down the street from us."Ya Ya" the manager was very gracious and inviting. When she said that she made the best margaritas, she wasn't kidding. The food is great, we had the combination shrimp plate (mui delicioso). We went back several times.Saludos,Jose y Maria

This restaurant is located in the Hotel Zone, on the bus, handy and a good find! It is open air with a roof so there is no A/C but anything less than a totally blistering day is comfortable due to the sunken floor, high ceilings and overhead fans. I ate there three times in November 2013 each time to good result. Shrimp shrimp and more shrimp! Excellent.

Three of us ordered Oysters Rockefeller. They were so bad that we could not eat them. Another had a hamburger and he said it was just ok. The waiter said the margaritas were 2 for 1 then charged full price. And although we did not eat the oysters, they charged us for them and the manager refused to talk to us even though we asked 3 times to talk to her. Not going back there

Came here for dinner my first night in PV. First impression wa sit wa an adoreable little restaurant. The funny sign on the door was the first reason I liked it there. Showed the owner had a good sense of humor. The service was fantastic, my drink was never empty long and the food was definitely worth the wait.We visited this restaurant twice. Both times I had the chicken fajitas. They were absolutely delicious. And the portion size was huge. My boyfriend got the Mummy Shrimp the first time. And it wa sout of this world. I can't say enough good things about it. Second time he got a shrimp burger, it was really good as well.The best part if you're an animal lover is they have a parrot in a cage that will talk to you. He was entertaining. I will definitely be going back next time i'm in PV.
