Lone Star - Pukekohe

We came here on a Monday night for mum's birthday and the place was surprisingly busy which is a good sign (lucky we booked).<br/ <br/ This has to be one of the best Lone star franchise in the country, great atmosphere, warm and welcoming.<br/ <br/ Ella who looked after us for the night was very friendly and helpful. Drinks arrived quickly. We ordered prawn starter, delicious, garlicky and hearty. Mum had the lamb which she enjoyed it very much. It was tender, well balanced and the mash was creamy and delicious. Lone Star ribs never failed to delight us, it's always the highlight. Both dad and I ordered steak, dad's sirloin was a bit chewie and the fat wasn't rendered properly, which is a bit disappointed. My fillet was nicely aged and I enjoyed the red wine jus and the potato rosti..<br/ <br/ Overall we had a really good night, and it's glad to be supporting the local business. Keep up the good work guys!

Had a cup of hot chocolate late in the afternoon.  It was very good one.  The staff was very attentive.  The music was beautiful.  I could have been sitting there for the whole evening.......

The service was great and the food is consistently good. You know what you are going to get really enjoyed the Milky Bar Pud. We had booked a table but we had to wait 25 minutes for it which was the only let down, but was the first time that had happened. Definitely value for money!

We eat here regularly and never once have we been disappointed. Always friendly service, beautifully cooked steak and a great range of food to choose from. We have travelled all around NZ in the past few years and still think Lone Star Pukekohe does the best steaks.

Food here was good, we started with the Lone Star Loaf, it was nice and the loaf was crusty and warm just how it should be. I had the Maverick fillet and it was cooked nicely. My boyfriend had the ribs, he said they were also very good. The service was good, the only things that I could fault would be that the atmosphere was very loud but that should be expected on a Saturday. And that the food although good is slightly overpriced
