Village Inn - Purbeck

Used this place while staying in the adjacent campsite along side. Brian the staff are superb and really know how customer service works. Had breakfast every morning staying there and dinner in the evenings. Amazing food for the price, good sized portions and very tasty. Keep up the good work you deserve the excellent reviews

I had made a reservation at another pub, but when I arrived, they informed me that they were full and had cancelled all bookings after 8.00pm without notifying me. I called the Village Inn and explained my situation, and they said they had a table available if I could arrive before 8.45pm. I agreed to do my best to make it on time, and if I missed the deadline, it was my fault. I arrived at 8.50pm and apologized for being late, understanding that the kitchen may be closed. However, they honored their commitment to serve me and the chef even agreed to wait for me. The meal was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was the perfect end to a long day. I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area, and it will be my first choice when I return.

We went to The Village Inn to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with approximately 20 friends and family members. The ambiance was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We have dined here several times and have always had a positive experience.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant for a birthday celebration with a large group of family members. Everyone enjoyed their meals, with plenty of options for both vegetarian and vegan diets. The staff were accommodating of our group size, and we had pre-booked to ensure everything went smoothly. The food and service were both excellent, and we had a fantastic evening overall.

Very “average” and over priced food. The staff look uninterested. Menu is very limited. We were told “No need to book at lunchtime” but, all of the quieter tables at the back had reserved signs on. We left the restaurant at 13:35 and none of those tables had people on them? They close at 14:00. Very mediocre and over priced pub food….Don’t bother!
