Sonny's Cafe - Purcell

We went on Friday night for all you can eat catfish. It was our first visit there. The catfish and pinto beans was very good. We didn 't like the coleslaw at all. It had no flavor. The fried potatoes were frozen little hard chunks of potatoes that were overcooked and the frozen okra was also hard and overcooked. It seemed like our waitress was tired and maybe had been having a bad day. She didn 't smile much and wasn 't very friendly.

Best place in Oklahoma to eat. ALWAYS clean, fast service, amazing staff!

The food was excellent, the waitress and staff were impeccable and the restaurant was clean. There were 5 in our party, I had the frog legs, they were big, delicious and perfectly cooked the rest of the table had various dishes and all were awesome. Waitress was on point with the drinks and refills, food and any other requests that were made with a very pleasant attitude. I highly recommend Sonny's.

Chicken fried steak sandwich was over cooked. I had to peel the top of the bun from inside top of burned styrofoam container. Super disappointed! Not worth $16 plus! Follow up was unbelievable. Owner said she would “make it right”. But she denied me a refund accused me of lying when I took the food back to the restaurant. Finally, she said, “ya don’t have to eat here. Now I understand why there are so many bad reviews. Will never go back!

Love the atmosphere...rustic, cabin feel... waiting staff were hard working and very friendly. Food was fantastic.
