I believe his name is Danny, who runs the counter at the Cafe. He is very professional and more important friendly. He always has good suggestions for what sandwich to get and the food is so fresh. It's a nice place to come and relax for a bit!
I'll give the cafe 4 for friendliness and a cozy environment, 2 for order correctness (did it twice wrong), and a 3 for the food which is just OK. The door was open and except for a couple of customers and myself there were no masks.
I had not been in the store since before Covid. I went back with anticipation. One of my purchases was a baby pool that was leaning against the wall next to the new computer/cash register. I commented that they now had computers. The woman waiting on me snapped It was either that or go out of business. Hmmm. When she totaled my approximately $200 purchase, I handed her my credit card. She snapped I don 't like things shoved in my face. If it had not been for my granddaughter who was standing there and eagerly anticipating playing in her pool, I would have walked out. At least no one at Home Depot is outright hostile.
Biked to Purcellville from Alexandria and this is the perfect place to fuel up for the ride back! Great sandwiches at great prices along with a varied selection of drinks and chips. Free water available as well.If you happen to forget a lock like me, the bike rack in front allows you to keep an eye on your bike while eating. Or get your sandwich to go and sit on some of the benches at the W&OD trailhead.
