The Wooden Farmer - Putaruru

This cafe/restaurant is of top quality. I made a reservation ahead of time since I was coming from Auckland, and I'm glad I did because it was busy. We ordered Kumara chips, a Shrimp Cocktail, a Beef burger, and a couple of lemon lime and bitters. The food was absolutely fantastic. I would even go as far as to say that this was possibly the best burger I have ever had. The prawns and Kumara chips were delicious. It was a truly enjoyable evening. Thank you.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service at this restaurant, especially considering it's located in a small town. Despite being busy, the noise level was still comfortable. We were advised to make reservations, which we managed to do just 2 hours beforehand. We ordered the fish of the day, the power bowl, and the mussels, all of which were delicious. I would highly recommend dining here.

The food is decent, but a bit expensive for lunch. However, it is still a good choice for a midday meal.

We visited you guys today, honestly, what a fantastic meal. I had the prawn cocktail, my husband had a ham on the bone sandwich, we had tea and played our game. I've been away having treatment and on our way home hungry, we thought we'd pop in. Good decision. We've had the prawns before and I loved them so much, I told my husband what I wanted straight away, he encouraged me to check the menu, but I knew what I wanted. Our meals were perfect in every way. Thank you so much. You have a great selection of food displayed in your cabinet too. Fabulous food and service.

Came in for lunch and was not disappointed. The portions were good and tasty. Coffee was a little on the weak side for the large size but it was decent. Would recommend those around the area to give this place a try. Parking available outside as well.
