Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen

I thought it's a good meal because it's Italian restaurant, but the food we order is terrible. Pizza is too salty, Spinat Risotto was served cold and if I ask you to reheat it. They gave me back, but the taste is also salty and the rice is still uncooked.

I don't know how Mama Lou could get such positive reviews except for paying for them because we read and ordered Mama Lou's special pizza and NIE were so disappointed. The pizza was as light as a feather and the lasagna was...foul, with the cheapest tasteless cheese undercooked.

The chicken breast with potatoes was disappointing. The potatoes were too soft and buttery, and the chicken sauce was too watery. The Arugula salad was too vinegary and watery, and it was supposed to come with blue cheese but there was none in sight. The meatballs were not cooked properly and the poutine was too salty. Our drinks were also not served until after we finished our meal. The Pasta pesto was too al dente. The service was the biggest disappointment, with staff being solemn and uncommunicative.

We've been going to Mama Lous for a long time. Great value and prices especially if you compare prices and what you are looking for in other restaurants nearby. Great service. Love lamb and steaks. Great pizzas. I didn't try anything, but I'm sure they're great.

Hats off to your staff! I was already full when you brought out the Vesuvio dish! I had asked the waiter beforehand to order it, and he said he would. However, there was a delay in receiving bread despite three follow-ups, and our order was not properly recorded. The manager on duty was not helpful in addressing these issues. It seems like the staff could use more training. I appreciate the gesture of offering us a free Vesuvio, but I am not satisfied with the compensation.
