I will miss it, though I really wasn't a regular - maybe only once a month.Perhaps the biggest loss will be the manager and customer-focused staff. But, if it continues as a pub, hopefully the new owners will offer the existing staff a job.It would be good if it remains a pub, but who knows, it may morph into a restaurant or something completely different - please not another nail salon, gym or pizza takeaway
Went here at 4pm on Sunday before going to see Bodyguard. I ordered lamb shanks and mash. My friend ordered burger and chips. Both lovely. I don't normally eat chips but I stole one and got hooked and had to order a whole big bowl more. Great lighting. Nice vibe
I will admit, I was a little bit drunk, and the only reason I came in here was originally for a wee. But after deciding I was also quite hungry and it was fairly quiet with a nice live acoustic boy playing I decided to grab some food. Little did I know I was about to east the best chicken Parma I have ever had, and I tell you now I've had my fair share. I was a bit concerned when it was so quiet on a Saturday night I'm yet to know why. Lovely interior and staff and a nice place to have chilled out drinks with friends.
We've been to this pub a few times now. The food specials are good and the happy hour beers especially the Pymont IPA & the #1 Pale Ale are a decent selection of local craft beers. The staff have all been welcoming, it's never been too busy and we seen some live music here. The place does occasionally have the music too loud for us but then we just sit outside and watch the steady flow of people go by.
This is a new addition to this area since we last visited Sydney. We are staying nearby at Sebel Pyrmont.I dropped in for a few $5 pints during happy hour (5pm-7pm everyday) where my wife and son joined me later. We also enjoyed and shared a generous bowl of beer batter fries with lime aoili. The barman was extremely friendly and this venue is quite funky and modern.
