Restaurante Rei do Peixe Assado

Never someone complaining to me, but this restaurant wore, really forced me to. advertising €7,99 rodizio but came to find only 4 dishes all price on €13,99 for the smallest portions. they asked for berbigoes as an appetizer, but when the bill came, they accused us. the full price of a main court. both main dishes came with 2 small potato on the side. the staff is completely unorganized, more concerned to hurry, so they can get out early. ends up paying 47€ between 2 of us for the worst grilled fish in the algarve avoid them at all costs!

I've eaten a few times here. because of the kovid they now have to sit in the covered area on the back that, to be honest, looks pretty down. are not dismissed. it is clean and well maintained. the Rodizio concept is excellent,...we had 6 different fish all over wood. it was 6,99 € we have paid e tra for chips and salat. that made it less than 10 euro a teller. To be honest, everyone who moans here to the trips, a nasty fish is fresh and well cooked, and so, so, so cheap. I still have to visit the algarve

We went twice as it is authentic Portuguese food unlike the food found in Villamaoura Marina. However the service was slow on both occasions and the waiters had to be prompted for the menu, drinks etc..The waiters were polite, but hardly spoke English. The manager was rather rude with his staff and clients and it appeared that no decisions was made without consulting him first. Very strange.Recommended if you fancy Portuguese Traditional food. (Fish/Meats) but be prepared to wait to be served.

We like our visit. The fish was so tasty and the service was not fast. The restaurant was not good decorated.

Having driven past this restaurant lots of times we finally decided to stop for Sunday lunch and it was well worth it. Always a good sign is that it was full of Portuguese families.My husband had sea bass and I had Portuguese steak, both were tasty and were good size portions, my daughter is vegan and they made her pasta with a tomato and basil sauce, service was very good, food took a little while to arrive but they were very busy but we had a Euro 2016 match on TV to watch.Drive out of Vilamoura if you can and try these sort of places, both your tummy and your pocket will be grateful!!
