New Cathay Chinese Restaurant

I've had meals from here a few times now and they have been absolutely delicious. This is how I remember Chinese food tasting as a child. It brings back so many wonderful memories enjoying quality food with family and friends. Highly recommend. The staff are...always friendly and the service is brilliant.

The Satay King Prawns here are the stuff dreams are made off, delicious melt in your mouth prawns and amazing sauce to match. Were also very kind to cater to my rice requirements and it was equally as delicious. Only wish I lived in the...area so I could eat it more often. You won't be disapointed if you order here.

Its hard to find a good Rendang anywhere and these guys certainly hit the spot. My wife said the steamed dim sims were also great as they were made in house. Also couldn't fault the pork spring rolls I had. Look forward to seeing our...next visit

We’ve tried most of the Chinese restaurants in the Queanbeyan/Canberra region and New Cathay is the best by far. It’s definitely going to be our new regular. Six of us went for dinner and right from booking the staff were extremely helpful. Taking their time...to explain over the phone the different banquet options and prices, including what dishes were included. They also stated that you could swap any dishes you didn’t like. Plus no charge for BYO. We got the banquet which was amazing. Mixed entree, soup, six dishes and dessert. The dishes were a great variety, fresh and delicious. The amount of food was so plentiful we had heaps left over. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. They were even happy to accept split bills which made it easier when it came time to pay. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.
