When we sat on the terrace, we were immediately told that children were not allowed. We were with our 11-month-old baby at 7 PM. We were confused as to why a business would not allow a young couple with a sleeping baby to have a drink. It's not a nightclub, it's a regular bar in the city center! I hope they go out of business soon.
Cheap beer, but dirty restaurant, bad service and nothing on the menu except cheese. the odours were served in a plastic cup which stale. they are conveniently located on the main road in the old quebec, but I would not stop again.
There is a reason why this restaurant has received both negative and positive reviews. During my visit, I ordered a water and a beer and was charged over $10, with the water costing $3 and the beer over $7. The waitress insisted on a tip, which I found unnecessary considering the prices and atmosphere of the Irish-style pub. When I refused to tip, the waitress became offended and argued with me, claiming tipping was mandatory. After a tense interaction, she finally allowed me to pay without adding a tip. However, when there was an issue processing my card payment, I decided to pay in cash. The waitress then accused me of being dishonest and refused to give me back my card until I provided the cash. In the end, we paid our bill but were told that we would not receive any further service. Overall, our experience at this restaurant mirrored the negative reviews, and I would not recommend it to others.
As soon as you sit down a glass of peanuts arrives. The service is good, and the prices not too bad. A great place to sip a beer (or gin and tonic) and people watch. Really enjoyed it.
