The food was not as requested - I asked for non-spicy but received a spicy dish, and the wrong type of rice was provided. Despite paying for it, there was no smoked salmon included. The salad was disappointing and the avocado portion was very small.
The sushi at this restaurant was not the best we've had. It was mainly filled with salad and lacked other ingredients. The service was quite slow and it took 20 minutes to receive our order, leaving us wondering why it took so long considering how simple the dish seemed to be assembled.
After struggling to find an open restaurant on a weekday, we stumbled upon this one. Despite its appealing design and interesting menu, we were disappointed by the small portions of the rolls and the thinly sliced salmon sashimi. The quality would have been acceptable at a cheap coffee shop, but not for a $35 lunch. The service, however, was very friendly and welcoming in a typical French Canadian style. Overall, it's best to avoid this restaurant if you have other options.
I live close to it, so I used to go to this restaurant. Unfortunately, several incidents have occurred in the last few months: to have me answer an hour before the closure that it is impossible to make a chicken roll for my intolerant seafood spouse, or to have to wait for more than an hour to order a soup. I had to go home every time, I had to go home, to the great disappointment of my 4-year-old daughter, who loves sushi, who often asks me, and who doesn't understand why (and I quote) "people don't want to make it." I honestly believe that if the waiting time is so long, it's because there's a shortage of employees on the spot. This demonstrates poor management, and lack of consideration for customers. Unfortunately, I will not put my feet back.
We wandered here after not being able to find anything open on Labor Day (which is apparently a Canadian thing too). The nice design of the place and the cool looking menu are deceiving: rolls are tiny, and the salmon sashimi looks more like very thin pieces of lox. All of this would have been fine if we had picked an $8 roll from a coffee shop that also sells prepackaged sushi - and not a 35 (U.S. dollars) sit down lunch. Service is as "friendly and welcoming" French Canadian style as they come. Skip it if you have a choice.
