Food and drinks so good. But the service not really good

This place is beautiful. The atmosphere was peaceful and cozy. I had breakfast with my sister on a rainy day and it was so nice. The food was perfectly cooked and coffee was so good we had two cup's. The check was less than $40!! We went back for dinner the same day and just like breakfast they did not disappoint. The food was really good, flavorful and filling. I will definitely be coming back!

The food was on point. We ordered from brunch menu, various items. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were amazing. They had the awareness of when to be attentive and when to give space. The ambience and decor were beautiful. Would highly recommend.

So I walked into Pop's on Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven the other day And much has changed. Been coming here for almost 20 years but haven't been here for a few. Sadly they've removed a lot of the beautiful wood although some remains. The old fountain counter is gone, As are the booths and other seating to be replaced by elegant tables And a bar. I have to say it makes a cute little restaurant, although I do miss the old Pop's. The food was good. This is no greasy spoon. It's a step above diner food, but with the ambience of a somewhat classy restaurant. The new Pop's is a nice place for couples or families to dine; or to dine alone as I was.
