Very fast order, nice waitress, food was really good and had lots of options. I recommend to anyone in the area
Coming from a big city to a small city, when it comes to food...you can really see the difference. I'm guessing the availability of ingredients aren't as available compared to bigger cities when trying to cook asian style foods. This place has a diner vibe and they have daily specials as well. I've never been to a place that offers Canadian and Vietnamese cuisine combined. I almost felt like I was in a different world as I was having pho, my husband eating fried rice and my children were having burgers and fries. Also, seeing eggs, toast and sausage being served to other tables while eating pho is a different experience. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just two different cultures of food in one spot. Not a fusion, but simply serving customers Vietnamese and Canadian food in one restaurant. Firstly, the staff here are friendly so that was the best part of coming here. Secondly, the food was decent and portions were decent as well. My broth for my pho was okay, I've had better but it was still good. There was a decent amount of beef/meatballs. My husband said his seafood fried rice was ok. I was not very happy with the fact that we got charged .99 cents for each condiment/topping for my kids' burgers. .99 cents for half a piece of lettuce is just crazy to me and .99 cents for a smear of mayo is unheard of to me. I understand if you want to charge .99 cents for cheese, bacon or other things like that, but .99 cents for half of a piece of a lettuce leaf? I think that is something that should be changed. We also got fresh shrimp rolls and Vietnamese fried spring rolls which were also ok. I probably wouldn't come back here for their Vietnamese dishes and would possibly try their breakfast food instead. There are not many Vietnamese restaurants in Woodstock, so options are limited if you're in the area. Our bill was quite expensive coming at a total of almost $70 for a large order of fresh shrimp rolls, large order of fried spring rolls, beef pho, seafood fried rice, 2 for 1 special of the burger and fries, and 3 cans of pop. When we lived in Brampton, the Vietnamese restaurant we went to, we would have gotten a lot more food and leftovers for about $40-$50. Again, this is not a solely Vietnamese restaurant so I get the cost would be different in comparison. Overall, it was a unique experience.
We found this little restaurant a few years ago, and now we try to get here at least once a week. You have to come early otherwise there is a wait but it is worth the short wait. Service is excellent, staff are very friendly, and the food is out of this world. The Vietnamese food is wonderful. Small restaurant in the Giant Tiger Strip mall. They also serve Canadian food but have never tried it. Try #603, #609 and some of the excellent soups that they serve. Excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Good food good price. Funky little strip mall Asian restaurant serves Canadian food as well. Breakfast specials are a good deal.
