Saber de la India is really good. The food was really good, not too greasy and rich in flavour. The dishes were quite large and filling: We had samosas as a starter and ordered some dhal with our main dishes as you would in many Indian places, but we could have had sufficed with only the samosas and dhal. The staff was friendly and gave us the leftovers to take home. Although they serve meat, they bring it as 'vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian ', which I think is great because it sets vegetarian as the norm and meat as an alteration of the status quo. Perhaps, restaurants that do this should be able to get 4,5 stars.
A simple restaurant with very nice servers and staff. The food is good and you can taste the different flavors from the spices and other ingredients. It was a happy and flavorful option here.
One of the only places in Quetzaltenango that explicitly states vegan on their menu, those items can be found in the vegetarian section. Chana Masala con Puri is my go-to comfort food that I get at least once a week. The vegetarian Samosas are vegan as well. Solid solid hit-the-spot Indian food. No complaints other than the price which is high for Quetzaltenango but pretty [censored] cheap if you 're coming from a major US city. Servers are always super nice and they have Wi-Fi.
You’ll be fully satisfied here. Well spiced Indian food with authentic flavor is large portions, can’t go wrong.
