I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my traditional Vietnamese egg rolls, um, because I inhaled them as soon as I opened the container. They were very tasty, not oily or greasy, and came with a thick, sweet sauce. The grilled pork Vermicelli was light and delicious. Not fatty or gristly, as I've had before, but thin and perfectly grilled. The bean sprouts were crunchy and white. Nothing was limp or overcooked, no veggies were past their peak. Guests leave comments on post its which are then stuck to the walls. I will absolutely return!
The food speaks for it self. The Pho had a rich amber color and taste delicious. Honesty there's not a place in Quincy that comes closes. The service was excellent, friendly and the communicate was easy.
Definitely a small hole in the wall family owned business. Broth was pretty good. The bowls however were small in comparison to what you could get at other restaurants. I’d say the bowl I got would be a medium/large at other restaurants. Waitress took awhile to get to us but the food was good.
Truly a hidden gem, with great Vietnamese soups! I wish the menu was more extensive, though it's a great hole in the wall type of restaurant.
Hubs and I checked this place out for two reasons: we both wanted soup and the current rave reviews on Yelp. We are VERY happy that we decided to walk down. Having passed this place several times, the outside is very unassuming. I've seen it packed but more often I've seen it rather quiet. This evening we were the only table for our entire meal and a few other patrons came for take out. The waitress/hostess/cashier/greeter was lovely and gave friendly service. This was my very first time trying Vietnamese soup and I was blown away. My soup was the wonton noodle soup and I added tofu. Husband had the seafood soup and lauded the broth for being very flavorful. For my part, I really loved how everything worked together to create a whole dish. It's definitely a decent portion and we both left full. As far as quality, mind blown. Husband's meal came out first and then I had to wait for mine. This told me that it was being made fresh and it came to the table steaming hot. Again, first time trying this dish and I want to try so much more!! Decor-wise, nothing to write home about. They do have some nice paintings but the pictures of menu items are scattered around making them hard to see. The Post-It walls are a bit juvenile and could be replaced with something much more mature looking to capture the spirit of what they're trying for there. The tables were clean and well stocked with condiments and the like. We will definitely be back. Nice short walk to get there and the food is worth it.
