I got in an hour before closing at 10 and just decided to get a quick taco and a drink for me and my sister . The short waiter with the glasses was so rude that I even suggested to my sister that we leave because I saw the movie “Waiting” so I know the kitchen gets frustrated when ppl come before closing time. But my sister suggested we stayed so we did. I felt so rushed into getting an order that i told my sis that we can just share whatever she wanted on the menu. We got the steak tacos and when we got it, it was overly seasoned with powdered garlic to the point that the back of my throat and lips tasted like garlic and the meat was cold as well and the corn tortilla wrap had a weird taste to it. As me and my sis are talking , the waiter was hovering and circling us as a shark trying to see if we would be finished and mind you this was around 930ish and there were also other people still inside the restaurant with no indication of leaving. He then proceeded to start flipping chairs on the tables all the while still hovering over me and my sis to see if we were finished. It came to the point where I swallowed my drink and just took out my card to get out of there. In the future (this is to the waiter), if there are ppl coming in an hour before closing next time don’t tell ppl the kitchen is open because it makes no sense to give someone cold food just to stick it to the person who paid for the food and then expect a tip afterwards for the cold unwelcome service from the waiter. Pics below of the food and the waiter flipping chairs while people were still inside
Food was good. Place was nice but the service was lacking. My server was slow to arrive at me table, then never came back to see if all was ok with my meal.
Pearl Lime opens at 4pm . Very interesting decor and great music. I had already had dinner but wanted to try the food for future dining. I ordered the Ceviche which was amazing and super fresh. It came along with fresh flour tortilla chips. It was a very refreshing taste and would be a great starter. I look forward to coming back to enjoy more dining options.
Another decent tasting, but small taco, at a premium price. Which seems to be the norm for Boston. Pretty expensive for what you get.
Service and ambience were really great. They have a nice drinks menu and the drinks are also great. However, the chips and salsa was slightly simple for the cost. Vegan tacos were really great.
