The turkey sandwich had great flavor and high-quality ingredients, but at nearly $6, it was too small. I've ordered food from this place three times now, each time from a different employee, yet the portion sizes were consistently small. The menu at this campus location is different from other Jason's Deli locations. Online menus state that sandwiches and wraps come with a side, but at the NCSU Talley Student Union location, you have to pay extra for a side dish.
The food at this restaurant in Talley is top-notch, but be prepared for a lengthy wait. The service can be slow and sometimes they forget to notify you when your order is ready. Despite this, the Chicago Club with extra onions is delicious and worth trying.
I waited for 30 minutes for service with no one in front of me, only to be told that they do not accept Jason deli gift cards. It is confusing how this restaurant can be a Jasons Deli but not accept gift cards purchased specifically for this location. It is disappointing and unacceptable.
The food itself is not too bad, but you will wait at least 30 minutes longer than what they tell you. It takes so long to get your food that it is not even worth ordering from them. The workers are nice and they do their best, but they are just super slow. I never command them because they're slow.
The wait is ALWAYS longer than you expect. Plan an extra 15-20 minutes at least. GrubHub said it was a 12 minute wait. Ordered lunch for my break. Waited for 20 minutes past my pickup time, only to be told that they are still over 100 orders behind. I was not able to wait for another 30 minutes because they were having issues. I had to leave my order and did not get to eat for my break.
