Wish we could get moose burgers back home (Ontario). Small and cute place. Service is great and staff are very friendly! Would definitely come back here.
Yes this is the best cod I had during my 7 day stay in west Newfoundland! We originally booked an ecological reserve tour with Ted, who turned out to be the owner of the restaurant. Fish and chips are very fresh and yummy. What included in the tour is a grand meal with moose sausage, cod, and cheese cake.
The best lobster supper we had during our travels in Newfoundland, .. and we had a few! The fisherman's platter was superb. Cozy place where you can meet people from other parts of the world. Great hosts and service. Everything homemade.
This was a great place to experience real Newfoundland hospitality. We had a lobster and a moose sandwich, and they were both divine. Ted, the chef took us out to the docks and we got to pick our lobster which was quite the experience. Our cabin faced the bay and we saw small icebergs floating across close enough to touch. We'll be back for a longer stay next time.
I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We had breakfast with homemade fishcakes and moose sausage that the owner Ted and his family hunted. The food was delicious and Ted answered all questions about life in northern Newfoundland. He also offers guided tours of the Burnt Cape Ecological Reserve. We didn't have time to take him up on that, but I'm sure it would be a great experience for anyone who can make time for it.
