Thaiphoon Bistro - Raleigh

We ordered takeout from this restaurant, and our food arrived in just 30 minutes. It was still warm enough that we didn’t even need to use the microwave. The chicken and rice dish had a nice balance of flavors, not overly sweet, complemented by some pineapple and vegetables. The beef pho and creamy soup were also quite tasty. I would definitely order from here again. Just a heads up, they didn’t include any utensils, so be sure to ask for chopsticks if you need them!

I decided to drop by this restaurant on a whim and looked up the reviews after I got seated. I was a bit unsure at first, but once the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised! The portions were generous, the seafood was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. I ordered the Pad Thai, which I found to be just average. It had a lot of chicken and noodles, which was somewhat disappointing, but the flavor was good. Overall, I definitely plan on coming back!

Thiaphoon Bistro is, in my opinion, an underrated gem that's often overlooked. Nestled just behind Hibernian Pub and a short distance from the bustling Glenwood South area in downtown Raleigh, this place is truly a hidden treasure. It's consistently clean and always maintains a quiet charm, making it a lovely dining spot. The front patio is fantastic as well—spacious and serene, it offers a surprising calm despite being close to the lively action of the Glenwood South district. The food is consistently amazing, and the service matches its quality. The bar is also impressive, and I can't find anything lacking about the dining experience here. I give it two thumbs up!
