Young Hearts Distilling - Raleigh

It was our first visit, and we really enjoyed the food and drinks. The staff was also very helpful. I highly recommend it!

I was really looking forward to trying the special menu for vegan week, and Young Hearts definitely lived up to my expectations. Everything was absolutely delicious, and my husband raved about his macaroni as well! The service was excellent, with constant attention from the staff. We will definitely be coming back to eat here again.

For our main course, we had the sage risotto, which felt more like a basic veggie bowl than a proper risotto. I was expecting a creamy texture, but this was lacking; the sage flavor was barely noticeable, and I didn't see any Brussels sprouts in it, which we were looking forward to—perhaps they were chopped so finely that we missed them. The cauliflower tasted unseasoned, and there was a greasy layer at the bottom of the bowl that was a bit unappetizing. To top it off, our dessert arrived partially frozen. The restaurant graciously comped the dessert and gave us a discount on the bill, which I truly appreciated. Still, the overall experience was underwhelming for me, and if I returned, it would likely be just to sample their drinks.

We came for restaurant week and we're very pleased with the menu. The cocktail selection was excellent. I highly recommend the tequila old-fashioned.

Perfect place to have a relaxed dinner and friends or significant other.
