Sarku Japan Teriyaki Sushi Express

Despite being part of a chain that I generally enjoy, particularly the locations in New Jersey and Rockland, this specific restaurant has been my least favorite. I've visited about three times, hoping for a better experience each time, but it has always been disappointing. Each visit costs me over $20, yet the food portions are consistently small. I ordered shrimp and chicken, and the amount of shrimp seems to decrease with each visit. I also tried cooked sushi, but it arrived cold. To add insult to injury, after I received my food, they attempted to charge me for sauces, which I’ve never encountered before at other locations. Additionally, I felt rushed at the register, as if they were trying to hurry me through the process and talk over me. Overall, it's been a frustrating experience.

The establishment could use some improvements in cleanliness, and the food was not impressive. Additionally, the staff did not exhibit friendliness. They would benefit from customer service training. I won't be returning.

I was really disappointed with my first experience at this restaurant. I felt rushed, and they didn't take the time to explain the menu to me. When I ordered a veggie option, they even laughed, which made me very uncomfortable. I ended up going to Chipotle instead. Overall, not a good experience at all.

Even though this place is part of chain, the food here is mediocre at best. I've been to numerous other restaurants in the chain, and this place is at the lower end of the scale food wise. And to top it off the folks behind the counter are easily among the rudest I've encountered and I mean all the time. If I feel like eating this kind of thing, I'll drive to another location just to avoid this place. Don't waste your money here!

I dine at this restaurant at least twice a week. It offers the best teriyaki I've ever tasted. The food is prepared quickly and cooked perfectly, and the staff is always polite. On top of that, the portion sizes are generous for the price. I highly recommend this place!
