Quaint, cozy, romantic, stage vintage flare with tasty food. Love the atmosphere. Menues are not what the photos are. They change it up frequently which keeps it nice and interesting. Nothing of the ordinary and boring. The menue is simple and the food absolutely scrumptious. It compliments the lovely atmosphere inside and out. Definitely a hotspot for romantic dates and special occasions lunch dinners and should be on your to do list when down in Ramsgate or a driveby.
Beautiful gem in south coast.. Took my family there for lunch to celebrate mums bday! They lady took such good care of us, mum loved every bit of the place and most important.. The food was sensational!!! Definately try out the Prawn cakes.. Yummmmmy!
Aaah monsurie. The beautiful decor and the romantic atmosphere. What a way to end off an amazing holiday within Ramsgate.<br/ <br/ This is about the battle for the candelabra and gorgeous food. We managed to squeeze ourselves in without a reservation and we're happily accommodated and seated upstairs. After having ordered drinks and our starter, we were given the 2 tier candelabra from a table that was already 45min late.<br/ <br/ The starters were amazing with having ordered the tzaziki platter and the camembert platter. Both were mouth wateringly delicious.<br/ <br/ Our mains consisted of the Velvet Lamb, which was a beautifully cooked lamb shank thank fell from the bone with basic veggies and a freshly made mashed potatoe (not the instant packet kind). Unfortunately there was no creamed spinach which were told about once the mains were delivered, which honestly was not an issue. (by this point the late comers arrived and were given a basic candle and tea light)<br/ <br/ After having gourged ourselves on a beautifully cooked lamb shank, we popped outside for a little fresh air and a smoke, and upon returning inside, our candelabra had been given to the late comers, giving them a total of 3 candles on their table, and us none.<br/ <br/ It was OK though, we had a beautiful dinner, a lot of good laughs and a an all-in-all good evening. Thank you to the Burlesque Cafe for ending our get-away on such a high note.<br/ <br/ We will definitely visit again.<br/ Merci et bonne nuit.<br/ Melissa Mercer
Lovely and quaint restaurant. If you're looking for a romantic candlelit dinner for two with good food then this is the place to go.<br/ <br/ My fiancé and I had the lamb shank which although was a tad bit salty, it still tasted very good!<br/ <br/ It's seems as though you need to book for dinner since when we arrived we were told they were fully booked even though they had 3 tables open that were still open by the time we left. Fortunately, we had a lovely waitress who was very accommodating and allowed us to have dinner without having made a booking.
