Contribuisci feedbackI have tried Honey Walnut Shrimp at many restaurants, but this is by far the best!! The shrimp are large and it's the best tasting honey sauce! They serve it on a PLATTER not a plate, so it's a great value for $14.99.
This hole in the wall area along Archibald has been there for several years and seems quite inconceivable at first. You go into a seemingly traditional Chinese restaurant: mirrored walls, weak music playing, printing Koi fish and dragons on the walls, many red accents, a fish tank, etc. but the smell from the kitchen as you go in is the 1st indicator that you are treated to a great meal. I first came as a guest of a Chinese friend and her family, which is a hint there, this restaurant has a strong succession in the Asian community, and in every given night about 80% of customers are Asian, so for me that vouches that this place has good authentic food. There is an extensive menu in Chinese/English, and apparently if it is not on the menu, but you know what you want, the cook can make it for you that a great selection for many lacks a taste of home. Yes they have your expected orange chicken, which is really delicious and can be ordered, but they also have some exotic items that I still try as their numerous soups, pasta dishes and braided sea urchins. You also have a few great lunch offers, under $6 for a generous help from food. It's amazing what her little crickets in the back with her smiling cook can get out! Everything is boiled to order, so it can wait a bit when the place is full, since it only makes 1 or 2 chefs everything fresh, but waiting is worth it. You can also call your order and pick it up. Much hot green tea, plastered vegetables and sommes stripe while you wait. There is no children's menu, but we try to ask to sit close to the fish tank so that the children can be distracted from this for a bit. Eating comes family style, and LOTS of it, only 2 Entrees and the white rice that can come with it can easily feed a family of 4 with remains for under $20. I only regret that this place is closed on Mondays, but these chefs do such an excellent job, I can't release it for the day.
