Cluck-n-pollo - Rancho Cucamonga

I absolutely love the chicken—no complaints there! However, this is the second time I've received a spoiled side dish. The first instance was with the potato salad, and today it was the hot salsa. Both had a sour, spoiled odor, which spoiled my lunch on both occasions. I'm starting to wonder if they aren't properly managing their inventory or if they aren't keeping track of food freshness.

I give this restaurant a solid 5! While it might not be a typical "mom-and-pop" shop, the customer service was outstanding. From the warm welcome to the friendly farewell, it was clear that they genuinely care about their customers and want everyone to have a great experience—something you don't see often these days. The gentleman who took my order reminded me of a proud father looking after his clients, while the younger staff member felt like his son eager to make dad proud. I highly recommend this place for a good old-fashioned dining experience—and the food is fantastic, too!

This restaurant has had its ups and downs, and it's the closest option to Juan Pollo here in Rancho. The first few times I visited, the food was excellent, but lately, there have been some issues. For example, one day my potato salad tasted off. When I called to report it, they said it was due to the olives, but I still suspect it might have been expired. They were good about replacing it the next day, and the new batch was a significant improvement in both smell and taste. However, today the salsa was again not right. I called, and they explained that the tomatoes caused a bitter taste, but I noticed that the color and smell were also off. I believe they can do better. If they were aware of the bitterness, it would have been better to either make a fresh batch or inform customers that salsa wasn’t available that day. This situation feels risky, especially for those who are more vulnerable to food-related issues. I don’t want to come off as negative; I genuinely feel they could improve their quality control. I would love to continue supporting this small business if they can make some adjustments.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food is not only delicious but also a great value for your money. I tried it for the first time and I will definitely be coming back. The chicken was incredibly tasty and juicy—definitely preferred the rotisserie over fried. I ordered a plate that included half a chicken, along with sides, salsa, tortillas, and a drink. Wow! The service from the moment I walked in until I left was outstanding. The potato salad tasted just like homemade. I highly recommend everyone try this place at least once; you won't be disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. I really wish they were open on Sundays, though.
