The dark chocolate truffle with a touch of French grey sea salt on top is my personal favorite. It is sweet and rich with a hint of saltiness that makes the chocolate seem even sweeter.
Mille Fleurs presents itself as an upscale dessert place. The sign for a chocolate buffet immediately alerted our attention so we walked in and got seated. The decor color scheme is white and green with a contemporary flair. The dishes and silverware were thoughtfully picked to compliment the space. Occupying our time with light chatter, watching people on University Avenue walk about and a large flat screen flashing desserts in an artful manner were quite mesmerizing. We ordered a three tier stand full of chocolates. The flavors were unique with interesting combinations like salt, chill and truffle (as in the root) chocolates. There was an assortment of fruit infused items and petit fours. We thought going there once for the experience was nice but cannot throw a shadow on Extraordinary Desserts.
The evening was perfectly perfect with cuisine that was delectable!
One of the waitstaff was overbearingly loud and made the night less enjoyable.
We ate dinner in the lower part of the restaurant, which was perfect.. who knew the bar would be hopping with folks sitting around the piano bar and dancing when we left? Looks like a fun place to hang out for the locals. Our waiter Rory was great!! And the food was first class.. Next time we'll try Mr. A's to compare the two..
