This is my favorite brewery in Rapid City. There isn't a bad beer on tap and the staff are wonderful (shoutout to Mel, Cole, Paulina Alex). There's a little something for everyone: IPA, porters, some traditional brews such as a Mexican lager, an Irish red, a hefeweizen and more. If you like beer, come check this place out. Maybe make it a staple part of your week just like I have.
Had the best dark beers. Trivia was fun. The bar tenders were amazing.
A great local brewery. Had a fun experience playing trivia. There was a food truck and free popcorn. Some of the best beers I've had in a while, lots of options. I don't live in the area, but if I'm back I'd definitely stop by again!
It's really unfortunate that this place is tucked back off the main drag because they deserve more customers than they get. Their flagship offerings are pretty average in my experience and they cover all of their bases as far as what's expected of a small craft brewery. They also have a brisket selection of specialty styles than do most small craft breweries as well as cask offerings. The real draw is their specialty brews. Last year, they brewed the best Tripel I've had since I moved to SD two years ago. It didn't sell as well as it should have but I fully attribute that to the young and limited beer culture here because that brew was killer. Please give Dakota Point a shot next time you decide to grab a beer on the way home from work. They deserve it and you will be left wondering how it isn't more of a destination than it is.
