Holiday Inn Rapid City-rushmore Plaza

The internet in the large lobby of this convention center hotel is very poor. I had to stand at the front desk to access the internet on my computer. The front desk personnel are behind a large mounted plexiglass divider left over from covid that doesn't facilitate a friendly, welcoming environment.Rooms: 5/5

The hotel was nice. The room had a weird smell but other than was nice. Good breakfast and restaurant were good. So cool that they have a bar as well

Found this hotel via Google and called the number associated with it. Phone call was routed to someone in India (Neel) where they ask for a credit card number and 3-digit code as well which nobody ever asks for. Also told that once we reserved the room, we cannot cancel.Now we get to the room which reeked of marijuana.The lobby bar area, appeared shortstaffed and the young guy cleaning tables was spraying his cleaner on the tables AND the salt/pepper shakers. Pretty sure nobody wants cleaning spray with their salt?On the positive side, comfortable beds and really comfortable pillows. Showers have good water pressure. Also, the food in the restaurant is quite delicious, I recommend the pasta and salad.

We just had a lovely brunch at the restaurant inside the holiday inn. There was such a variety and everything that we tasted was so delicious. Cindy, the hostess, greeted us so warmly, and had a seated comfortably and no time flat. Our waiter was especially attentive and friendly. Our coffee and water was never empty. The man at the counter, Jamie, was especially helpful and polite. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and we appreciate all the people who made it happen.

We generally choose a place with free breakfast so almost didn’t choose this hotel, but for you can add the breakfast on when you reserve the room for an extra fee. The breakfasts were from a menu and terrific and hot. Some days the buffet was also available. The staff in the restaurant, Cindy and Summer were fabulous. The manager Jamie Fisher was also very helpful. The hotel is close to everything, we stayed 6 nights and traveled all over the area. Plenty of free parking. Very quiet rooms. I was actually surprised how quite they were. Never heard a sound and slept great!
