Curry is perfect, selection of noodle dishes can not be beat. Pricing is really good. Most dishes average $11. Parking is small and it 's not flashy from the outside. Closed on Wednesday. Worth every penny. We tip heavy to say thank you for highest quality and service with a smile. Can not recommend highly enough! 10 's
Excellent food, and responsive staff. We stopped to pick up lunch while traveling through Rapid City on I90. Ordered Masaman Curry and Yellow Curry, both were excellent. Next time, I would order extra vegetables. Compliments to the staff, they realized we had left without the tofu for both orders, so they quickly called us in time for us to return to pick those up. Thank you.
The cheesy crab appetizer was fantastic! It had coconut in it, and just a little sweet and sour sauce was the perfect complement. I also tried the chicken pad thai, which was excellent—definitely one of the best I've had. On the downside, the service was a bit slow. Our waitress seemed preoccupied or busy for most of our visit. Unfortunately, the restaurant is located in a sketchy area, so I wouldn't recommend leaving personal belongings in your car. While I was getting gas at the nearby Maverick gas station, I even witnessed a drug deal happening at the Stardust Motel. If you can overlook the neighborhood, your taste buds will be rewarded!
We often visit Rapid City to see our son at school, so we've tried quite a few restaurants in the area. Thai Thai has been by far the best! I ordered the Basil Fried Rice with chicken, and it was fantastic—especially the crispy bits of rice. The vegetables were fresh, not the typical overcooked or canned ones. The chicken was tender and thinly sliced. My husband got the Yellow Curry with chicken, which was delicious; I couldn’t resist spooning his amazing sauce onto my rice. My son ordered the Thai Thai fried rice with beef. Although I didn't taste it, he said it was really good too. The service was efficient, and our food arrived relatively quickly.
I had heard from a few people that Thai Thai was worth a visit, and today I finally got the chance to try it for myself. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The service was cheerful and friendly, with staff members smiling throughout my visit. I ordered the cashew stir fry with tofu for lunch, and it was packed with flavor and arrived from the kitchen in no time. While Thai Thai may not be located in the best area, the restaurant itself was clean and inviting. I will definitely return and recommend it to others.
