The Rickshaw - Rarotonga

We dined at this restaurant and the Flying Turtle Café for most of our stay. The food was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable about vegan options! There were many choices on the menu that could easily be made vegan.

I tried the vegan fried rice at this restaurant and absolutely loved it. Some items on the menu were marked as potentially being able to be made vegan, so I asked the staff to accommodate my request.

Had the vegan curry, which was clearly labeled, as well as the vegetarian spring rolls that are also vegan. so well we took the next night! updated by the previous review on 2021-08-22

My wife and I are both vegan. she had the pad thai and thought it was delicious I had the vegan curry special that was also good. served with rice, flat bread and roti. both generous portions. service was attentive and pleasant. the dining room is under a metal roof, but otherwise outside. we were there by chance at a particularly heavy tropical down after a hot day and it was very nice. Many customers arrived soaked and were warmly welcomed by the employees.

My partner and I, both vegan, were delighted to come across this little gem of a restaurant. I ordered the sweet and cashew dish, which came in a beautifully large portion served with rice. My partner opted for the vegan curry hexe, also served with rice on the side and a roti bread. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would highly recommend this place. While it may be pricier to dine in, it is still more affordable than trying to cook at home due to the high cost of fresh vegetables on the island.
