The Shed Cafe - Rathdowney

We stopped here for lunch after a visit to Bigriggen campsite. The views here are amazing!! I think it is Mount Maroon you can see from the verandah. It was clear day and the view was stunning. The Shed had two areas combined - lots of local craft (from the scenic rim), and a cafe as well. A group of us had lunch - the servings were a good size, and everything was freshly prepared. One member had Thai fritters - these were fantastic. Those having the BLT and steak sandwich were not disappointed either. We all sat on the verandah having a great lunch, enjoying the views. The local crafts were amazing as well, and a couple of us bought a few gifts as birthday presents for future! There was a big range as well.I will definitely eat here again when next visiting the area.

The Shed Cafe is a delightful place to enjoy great food, coffee and then to do some shopping in the gift shop. Friendly staff and a warm family atmosphere.

Great place to go if are out on a drive or camping ,nice feed and great coffee, happy staff, cost not bad

We always end our camping trips with a visit to The Shed Cafe. Fantastic food and coffee, great gift shop, olive oil and the apple pies are to die for. Lovely natural setting, big tables to cater for large groups. Great sized meals that fill everyone up.

We drove to The Shed for a day's sightseeing. Interesting set up. Lots of crafty items on sale - a little pricey. Simple meals available. Plenty to choose from. Coffe was good. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
