As you spend a little time there you see another local dive bar catering to the local alcoholics and drunks. There are no food options other than ordering pizza in from the place next-door. No game options other than a dart board you can’t get to because there are so many tables and chairs packed into such a tiny place that you can barely walk around in it. From the bartender that drinks with their patrons and over serves them to the point of passing out to its loud, obnoxious and drunk patrons sharing way too much information about themselves and other people it seems more like someone’s man came where they can party with there friends than a businessI gave them two stars because it is fairly clean and they are friendly however I would never recommend it. So if you are ever driving through Rathdrum Idaho and you see a little strip mall with a Kelsey’s sign over one of the doors and you wonder if you should stop and check the place out, don’t! For me I drive by and think “I wonder how many DUIs this bar produces on a weekend“? My guess is not enough! If you really want a nice place with friendly staff, good food, good drinks and awesome in house beer there is a brew pub in old town Rathdrum that is amazing.
Changes to menu and prices are really bad. strange meats on the menu are not what most people will not eat. menu took off the good items such as chicken sandwiches, taco salad and other items. do not waste your time or money. only good thing is the wait staff.
I have been going to O'Malley's for over 10 years; one of my favourite restaurants sport pub in Rathdrum Idaho. We went for dinner last night It was a disaster. Waited for 20 min to receive a menu I had to wait at the bar for another 5 min to get a menu. The menu had changed significantly from pub food to exotic dinners Kangaroo, Alligator, etc. and was highly priced. We had fish chips which were quite dry. However the icing on the cake was that we did not receive a knife with our cutlery after requesting one did not receive them. So basically Service was bad, food was bad over priced. As it turns out O'Malley's had been sold to new owners and had only be opened 5 days. I would be surprised if they last more than a couple of months. I well never be back, worst ever.
We stopped in about 2:30 on Tuesday for a late lunch on our way to Post Falls for a little shopping. 1 waitress, 1 bat tender working, not super busy, 8 tables, mostly Couples. Waitress Jazzy was SLOW INATTENTIVE. We were contemplating leaving 10 minutes after walking in and seating ourselves, when she finally grabbed menus to head our way. Philly steak sandwich had no flavor except the peppers and Club Sandwich was the worst I have ever had! Had to go to the bar to get my Ranch for tater tots after telling Jazzy 2 times that I wanted some. O'Malley is the last restaurant on our list.
It's a fun place and the people who hang there are all characters with great sense of humor
