But the food was surprisingly great, we did not expect that at the beginning. The restaurant serves German food but with some Balkan elements (the owner/manager comes from that region). The staff was very friendly and helpful, the interior was very nice. There was also a nice children playground outside, however the wheather made it impossible to benefit from it. I do recommend if you are in the area!!
Great place! Nicely decorated, excellent food and friendly staff, well worth a visit, but very popular....either get there early or phone ahead and make a reservation.
We expected decent food in a relaxed atmosphere. What we got was great food in a relaxed atmosphere served by a super-friendly staff that also has a good sense of humour. The price range for the main courses between 20 and 35 EUR is definitely worth the money. Quite busy also on a Tuesday evening.
Since ownership changed, the old fashioned charme is gone.Instead of an old fashioned massive, wooden oak bar area you now have that modern, plastic athmosphere. No more bar, to stand or sit at, meeting friends hve drink nd talk, but modern tables, most of them high with raised barchairs around. that might affect youths, but people 50 and up, switch to another location.Food is ok, but too expensive, so are the drinks.
Bürgershof is an excellent restaurant in the Lintorf area of Ratingen. It has typical regional dishes, which are excellent, and a couple of dishes that are from the Balkan. Staff is always very friendly, and it has a great outdoor space with playground as well. Certainly worth your visit if you're in the area. Reservations are recommended if you want to have dinner at regular hours.
