My wife and I drove all the way from Harlingen to try this restaurant today, and we are both pleased that we did. This was our first time here, and the food was delicious. The owner and staff were very friendly, and the decor and atmosphere were warm and cozy. We will definitely be returning soon.
I had the chiken fried steak. It wasn't what I expected in flavor wise. It was a little chewy over cooked. I did not like my options on sides only green beans and between mashed potatoes or french fries.
My husband and I dined at this restaurant for the first time and we absolutely loved it. The onion rings were delicious and highly recommended. I ordered the shrimp plate and the shrimp was plump and filling. My husband had the boot barn burger and he really enjoyed it. The fries were nice and crispy. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
This was a first for my family and I, and I do have to say the food was quite good, the service was good, the decor is sort of like an antique feel. All in all it was a good experience but there is not much to choose from when it comes to the side dishes on the menu, so be aware. And remember the only way you'll know if you like, you gotta just try it
