Chef Alan's - Reading

The service is exceptional. I have dined at Chef Alan's many times and will definitely keep coming back. The service is remarkable and the food is delicious!

I had my first visit here, and I was truly impressed! The restaurant has a lovely, cozy atmosphere and a fantastic selection of food. The crab dip appetizer and the Asian shrimp noodle bowl were both exceptional! The prices are quite reasonable; you can easily have a meal for four for under $100. There's ample parking available right next to the entrance. The staff is friendly, and the dining room, along with the bar area, is spacious and inviting. I highly recommend this place!

To transform West Reading into what it is today, it was essential to establish key establishments as foundational pillars around which the community could develop. Chef Alan’s American Bistro stands out as one of those foundational anchors.

Fish and chips were very good--the fish was cooked perfectly, moist and flakey, and the 'chips ' turned out to be waffle-cut fries which were also perfectly cooked and salted. Glad I had malt vinegar at home though since it did not come with it. Caesar salad was a little heavy on the dressing but I did not ask for it on the side so I guess that 's a little bit on me. The chicken on the salad was very good though. My wife said the California avocado burger was probably the best she 's had since we moved here a little over a year ago. My mother-in-law reports that the chicken tenders were perfectly cooked, moist and very, um, tender. We 're all too full to try the cheesecake right now but it looks pretty good as well. Our order was delivered by DoorDash. No issues to report. Prices seemed pretty reasonable, and the preparation time (at least on a Wednesday evening) was faster than expected. We will be ordering from Alan 's again, thanks!

Wonderful lunch! It was more is, atmosphere was great a our waitress was on the ball. I noticed that there no other waitress in the room but she did a fantastic job getting everyone's orders out on split time.
