Reading Pizza Piri Piri Grilled Chicken

My partner and I were very impressed by this small family-owned restaurant. I have never encountered a takeout place before where the staff wash their hands between each task. It was done very naturally. The dough was super fresh, but the speed of service could use some improvement.

After placing hundreds of orders over the years at many different restaurants, I can confidently say that this was the worst food I have ever tasted in my life. I spent over £35 and all the food I ordered came in two small containers. The delivery was 30 minutes late, the food was cold, and none of the sauces, cutlery, or napkins that I requested were included. How can someone think it's a good idea to put salad on hot food, cover it with cold sauce, and close the lid before sending it out? The pounder burger I ordered was supposed to come with cheese, but it was dry and the bun was soggy. It takes a special talent to achieve that level of disappointment. I will never recommend this place to anyone, not even for a bag of chips.

I placed an order through Just Eat, but it never arrived. The restaurant claimed that the driver had called and texted, but I never received any communication. To make matters worse, they tried to charge me for redelivery. There are plenty of other pizza places in Reading, so I suggest avoiding this one.

Food never arrived so can't comment on quality! Restaurant not contractible, left messages and no call back truly awful service, I won't ever use them again.

Always ordered my weekday dinner and weekend lunch from this place. Never visited. My favourite is the Piri Piri Chicken Spicy Rice meal. I prefer this in extra hot. The chicken is tender and succulent. The rice is super tasty. The food proportions are good and filling. Instead of soft drink i usually opt for water. They pack the food very efficiently so there is no leaking. The food is usually delivered on time except for a few times when it was late by an hour. The delivery staff are polite and courteous.
